This is my design for my portfolio, The back page is A4, and they get progressively smaller, this idea came about when i saw my phone book, as it has the alphabet sticking out the sides.

The only issue is when printed, there is a white boarder around the edge, once this is removed the pages were no longer A4 format, and binding it became difficult.
